JOSEPH M. NORTHCOTT  was born 20 Dec 1854 in Marion County, Arkansas, and died 25 Feb 1907 in Comanche County, TX.  He was the son of Joel Baker Northcott and Mary Ralph.  He married IDA ESTELLE STEPHENSON Abt. 1890 in Texas.  She was born Oct 9, 1868 in Alabama, and died 08 Oct 1915 in Comanche County, TX.

It seems from the tombstone (if it is correct) that he must have gone by the name James M. Northcott at some point, but every census found lists him as Joseph, and this is without question the same man and his family..
