MARTHA HOLLIDAY was born 01 Dec 1824 in Laurens County, South Carolina. She was the fourth child of Robert Alexander Holliday and Rebecca Burroughs.  She married COLONEL JAMES FRANKLIN JOHNSON 23 Nov 1840 in Fayetteville, Fayette County, GA. He was born Abt. 1816 in Georgia.
