JAMES RILEY FISH was born 15 Oct 1888 in Milam County, Texas, and died 20 Dec 1928 in Junction, Kimble County, Texas. He was the eighth child born to Electra Jane Bingham and Elias Franklin Fish. He married RUBY SUSAN BUNDICK 31 Jan 1918 in Gonzales, Gonzales County, Texas, daughter of THOMAS BUNDICK and AMANDA O’NEILL. She was born 05 Jul 1900 in Gonzales County, Texas, and died 22 Aug 1974 in Kerrville, Kerr County, Texas.
He was killed in an oil field accident. Kimble County Death Book C/2, p. 79 stated that he died from an injury to the right side of five ribs and gangrene of the right lung. He was buried in an unmarked grave two rows over from his father. James died intestate therefore Ruby had to file for guardianship of their two daughters on the 21st February 1929. Sam Houston and Elias F. Fish went her bond for $2400.00. Burial: JUNCTION CEMETERY, Junction, Kimble County, Texas. Cause of Death: oil field accident.
