Family records recorded in the Craig Family Bible, provided by a Sallie Attaway Craig descendent, have been a great help to those of us researching the Attaway family. I have tried to be precise in transcribing the contents as they were generously provided to me.

There is a wealth of information  that is invaluable in helping sort out the ancestry of John William Attaway and Sallie Attaway Craig.  The Bolding family branch and other information from John’s father’s other marriages, as well as his own death are recorded as well.

Marriages:  Joe Craig was married to Sallie Attaway Feb 6, 1881.

Births: Joe Craig was borned October 15 1855.

        Sallie Attaway was borned December the 4 1860.

        Walter Craig was borned December the 1 1881.

        Hattie Bell Craig was borned Feb the 6 1884

        William S Craig was borned October the 25 1886

        Charlie C Craig was borned Feb 1 1889

        Louis Craig was borned Feb the 16 1892

        Lonie Craig was borned November the 9 1894

        Ann Elizabeth Craig was borned March the 11 1898

        Alice Craig was borned October the 15th 1902

        Alice Henderson was borned May 13, 1906

        Cora Henderson was borned Nov, 16 1908

        Zella Henderson was borned April 4, 1911

        Thelma Henderson was borned Sept 9, 1914

(under the last entry, in pencil is the word "written", Mother thought 
the entries for the Henderson girls, while in a hand similar to 
Grandma's was someone elses writing and that they intended to say 
whose but didn't)

	Leander Sisly Attaway was borned Fevruary the 24 1868

	Eula Bella Attaway was borned June the 4 1871

	Russel Rudolphus Attway was borned June the 5 1878

	James Holland Attaway was borned December the 20 1879

	Jeffie Attaway was borned December the 2 1882

	"P" Elizabeth Craig was born March the 11 1898

	Joseph Craig was borned Octo 15 1855

	Joseph Craig was married to Sallie A R Attaway February the 6 1881

	Walter Craig was borned December the 1 1881

	Hattie Bell Craig was borned february the 6 1884

	Nancy Emmer Barnett departed this life Apr the 25 1886 age 31 years Seven months and 29 days

	Leander Sicly Attaway was married to S.C. Bolding May the 26 1885

	Eula Bella Attaway was married to John Dobbs Oct the 14 1886

	"P" William Smith Craig was borned Oct the 25 1880

	"P" Charley Coen Craig was borned February the 1 1889

	"P" this entry is upside down at the top/bottom(?) of the last page

Deaths:	Walter Craig departed this life July the 30 1884 age 2 years and 8 months

	Hattie Henderson departed this life January 9 1915 age 30 years 11 months, 28 days

The above entries are in the Craig family bible on the "Family 
Records" section pages.  All entries except where noted are in ink and 
appear to be bt the same hand.  Transcription is exact as to spelling, 
abbreviations and punctuation used bt the writer, or writers.

On both sides of two smaller pages found loose in the Bible are the 
following entries They are in no particular order and where marked 
"P" for pencil seem to have been inserted at a later date and written by 
a hand different from the entries made in ink.

	"P" 1931, this stands alone at the top right hand side of the page

	Walter Craig departed this life July the 30 1884 age 2 years and 8months

	Sisly Attaway departed this life July the 4 1856 age 51 years and 8 months

	Belinda Ann Attaway departed this life April the 23 1866 age 34 years and 11 days

	Georgia Ann Attaway departed this life March the 12 1874 35 years 5 months and 11 days

	James Holland Attaway departed this life September the 23 1880 age 9 months and 2 days

	Eliza C Attaway departed this life February the 13 1885 39 years and 10 months	John T C Attaway departed this life April the 25 1885 age 52 years and 7 months
